Recently went on an early morning charter with Captain Matt and First Mate Cody. On the trip was my father, brother, nephew (8yrs old) and myself who flew in from Omaha. The entire trip was made very fun and comfortable (despite the unseasonably chilly temperatures) by Matt and Cody. You could tell Matt has a lot of knowledge and experience. He answered all of our questions (especially the many ones from the 8-year-old) with patience and knowledge. He was great dealing with my nephew and making it especially fun for him. We ended up limiting out on the trip, catching mostly salmon and a few lake trout. On the way back Cody cleaned the fish for us and separated the fillets in bags for us to take home. Matt even suggested a local bar that we could take a few fillets to and would cook them up at no charge for us. We did that and it turned out great. It’s always a great experience when you can get three adults AND an eight-year-old to all have a fun and exciting time. The best part of the trip is it didn’t really end once I got off the boat, as I have many delicious salmon filets in my freezer to last me a while! Thanks to Matt and Cody for a wonderful trip, can’t wait to go back and do it again!

Hey Captain Matt, Just wanted to drop you a quick note and thank you for a special trip on Monday 6/10/2013. It was a special trip for my son’s 10th birthday (DJ) and his friend also had a great time. Of course his brother Matthew (7) hasn’t stopped talking about it, and I believe the “Laker” is somewhere in the range of 200 lbs when he tells his friends the story now!! We have plenty of fish until August… about 60bs!! Anyway, I appreciate your professionalism and patience with my little gang, and we will be back for the ‘Kings’ in August, and hopefully hunting in fall. Your boat was clean and comfortable for all, and Josh was great too!! Very tight!! I will highly recommend your charter to anyone, especially with younger children. We’ll be back!! Warmest regards.

So far we have had a few fishing trips with captain Matt and every time has been a blast fishing with Jackpot fishing charters, there’s a reason we keep going back. Cpt Matt is very professional and helpful, he puts us on the fish every time and we have never gone home empty handed.The Jackpot is a very clean and well-maintained boat with up to date equipment run by a good captain. I have fished on many charters around South Africa and wish I had Matt as the skipper and his professional knowledge of fishing

Hi Captain Matt, We had a blast fishing on the Jackpot with you! I was surprised how fast the action was, could not believe we had hooked into four fish at one time! I didn’t think an afternoon trip would be as good as the morning trips but we still put twenty five fish in the boat! Never had an experience like that before fishing. We already booked another trip for the summer king salmon run, and look forward to it everyday. I’m sure it will be as successful as our first trip. It will be nice to have a freezer full of salmon!
